The International Coenzyme Q10 Association (IQA) is a non-profit association formed in 1997 to promote research and educational activities related to coenzyme Q10.  It was formed by the Founding Members, a group of scientists, many of whom had worked with Karl Folkers, the pioneer in the clinical use of coenzyme Q10.

The IQA has a central office and research laboratories located in the University of Ancona, Italy. Besides conducting research on basic and applied aspects of CoQ10 it continuously interacts with other scientists on different research issues also focused on CoQ10. Every year the IQA also evaluates research proposals and gives a financial contribution to the best one. One of the main activities of the IQA is to organize local, national and international meetings on research and other problems related to coenzyme Q10, its basic science and clinical application.
