- The IQA supports innovative research on CoQ10. The annual date for submission of proposals is December 1 (for further details see http://www.icqa.org/ICQA/CoQ10grants.html). Experts in the field evaluate proposals, and the project with the highest score is usually awarded a grant.
The successful applicant of the last round of research grants is Dr. Steven Baker for his proposal Coenzyme Q10 In Statin-Induced Post-Exercise HyperCKemia. This study could provide further insight into the possible relationship between CoQ10 and statins.
- On September 13th 2008 the IQA will hold a one-day scientific meeting in the Marriot Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic on CoQ10 in clinical applications. The meeting will mainly address physicians.
- The executive committee of the IQA has decided that its 6th international conference will be held in Sydney, Australia between the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010. The final date has yet to be established. Information regarding this meeting will be put on the IQA website:
